*Docket No. 15-53 – In Re the Matter of Nancy E. McGee vs. Calvin Say and Friends of Calvin Say – A complaint by Nancy E. McGee against Calvin Say and Friends of Calvin Say alleging the improper use of campaign funds in violation of Hawaii Revised Statutes sections 11-381 and 11-382.  The Commission to conduct an initial determination of the complaint in accordance with Hawaii Revised Statutes section 11-404 – i.e., summarily dismiss the complaint, investigate further, make a preliminary determination of the existence of probable cause to believe a violation of law has been committed, or refer the complaint to an appropriate prosecuting attorney for prosecution.  

 

*Docket No. 15-76 – In Re the Matter of Christy Ann Gusman, Aysia Valdez, and Friends of Christy Ann Gusman – A complaint by the Executive Director against Christy Ann Gusman, Aysia Valdez, and Friends of Christy Ann Gusman for the failure to file the Final Election Period Report.  The Commission to conduct an initial determination of the complaint in accordance with Hawaii Revised Statutes section 11-404 – i.e., summarily dismiss the complaint, investigate further, make a preliminary determination of the existence of probable cause to believe a violation of law has been committed, or refer the complaint to an appropriate prosecuting attorney for prosecution.

 

*Docket No. 15-10 - In Re the Matter of Leslie McKeague-Gomes, Desiree McKeague, and Vote Leslie 43 Committee – Request for reconsideration of the order issued against Respondents for the failure to file the Supplemental Report at the 9/10/14 Commission Meeting.

 

*Consideration and Discussion of Commission Legislation and/or Other Campaign Finance Related Bills/Resolutions for the 2015 Legislative Session - Consideration and discussion with General Counsel Gary Kam regarding proposed Commission legislation as well as any other campaign finance related bills/resolutions that impact Commission operations/business for the 2015 Legislative Session.

 

5.                  Report from Executive Director – Report on Compliance of Filing Timely Disclosure Reports; Update on 2014 Election; Report on January 2015 News Bulletin; Report on  2014 Ballot Issue Committee Termination; and Report on Common Cause Hawaii’s Initiative to Increase $3 Tax Check-Off to the Hawaii Election Campaign Fund.

*Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes section 92-5(a)(5) – To investigate proceedings regarding criminal misconduct in Docket No. 15-54 concerning a candidate committee’s filing of a false report pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes sections 11-331, 11-333, and Hawaii Administrative Rules section 3-160-20(a).

 

*Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes section 92-5(a)(4) – Consult with Attorney on questions and issues pertaining to the Commission’s powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities concerning Docket No. 15-01, Docket No. 15-23, and Docket No. 15-69.
