a. Act 002, SLH 2018 (HB 2739, HD1), Relating to Health

Establishes a regulated process under which an adult resident of the State with a medically confirmed terminal disease and less than six months to live may choose to obtain a prescription for medication to end the patient's life. Imposes criminal sanctions for tampering with a patient's request for a prescription or coercing a patient to request a prescription.

b. HB 2271, HD2, SD1, CD1, Relating to the Practice of Behavior Analysis

Updates and standardizes the terminology used to refer to behavior analysts and applied behavior analysis. Clarifies the licensing exemptions for certain individuals who provide behavior analysis services. Requires the Department of Education to create and implement a plan to provide Medicaid billable applied behavior analysis services to all students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder within the Department. Establishes reporting requirements.
