A.    Planning Study Close Out Presentation: Traffic Signal Optimization

      and Demand Management Study

The City and County of Honolulu Department of Transportation Services staff and consultants will provide a presentation to close out the Traffic Signal Optimization and Demand Management Study funded through the Unified Planning Work Program FY2024-2025. For this study, consultants prepared an island-wide microsimulation model that is integrated with the O`ahuMPO travel demand forecasting model. This model will enable O`ahuMPO and partner agencies to conduct current-year and near-future analyses at the corridor level to evaluate operational and design scenarios.

The model will complement O`ahuMPO’s regional travel demand forecasting model by providing more detailed operational analysis to support the Congestion Management Process (CMP), O`ahu Regional Transportation Plan (ORTP), Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), and other planning studies.
